Venice in the morning

What would it be like to wake up in Venice in the morning?

This lovely, atmospheric video gives you the feeling of a different side of Venice, away from the hectic crowds of San Marco. This is a peaceful, calm, lovely Venice. One that makes you want to stroll aimlessly through the back streets, just enjoying the scenery, and listening to the ever-present sounds of lapping water.

Watch as the city comes alive in the morning, and the locals go about their daily lives.  Most of all, this makes me  want to wake up in Venice in the morning!  :-)

    its a dream and a nightmare,venice,…..just came from there….only at night, without all hundreds of tourists, you get a glimpse of old venice….at daytime you get lost in crowds….

    I was looking at Alan Whicker’s programme on Venice when I thought to compare yours with his. He was there as a war correspondent when he demobbed after WW11. His view was very much of Venice’s splendour (mixed with nostaliga). I prefer your photos; they talk for themselves and express a claustrophobia that I would never have suspeced. Thanks.

    I’m taking my girlfriend to Venice this year and will propose to her once we’re there. She has no idea about that.!

    I went there in 2004 … it was nice trip and I will never forget Italy ..

    I live in Canada, and was born here but my mother is from Venice. If she hadn’t immigrated to Canada I guess this is where I would have grown up and lived. I would be a totally different person than who I am now. I don’t feel Italian at all. But, I love Venice. Yes, I have visited. Thanks for posting. It is a glimpse of what could have been.

    hehe i’m italian!!!! i love VENEZIA!!!! but i prefer rome. i think rome is wonderful, i love florence ( firenze) , pisa, pompei, naples( napoli) , well italy is beautiful

    I was in Venice last year and the holidays and are naprasto amazing jo … and something the Italians have the best cuisine in the world …. pizza, pasta, mozzarella ……!!!!

    Ive booked to go to Venice in August, I wasnt sure about it, but after watching this vid, i cant wait !! whats the night life like?

    Thanks for sharing, this video makes me feel like i’m actually in Venice, you can hear cars, birds, people talks.
